Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Debuts on PS3 Series

All hardcore gamers would agree what a Sony Playstation 3 would be without the popular arcade fighting game such as Tekken. Since the inaugural launch of the Playstation 3 last November, only a handful of games have been known. Sure there will always be the usual sports, role playing and famous PS games, but the inclusion of Tekken 5 will certainly gather more curious and avid followers of the Tekken series to get a copy of the game now.

Tekken 5: Jinpachi

Tekken 5 is available in Asian countries such as Hong Kong and Japan at present for roughly $16.00. However, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is not yet compatible with the US version of the PS3 console. But it would only be time before one would be compatible and available to most avid Namco arcade gamers.

The modes are still the same as the other series, single player, two player versus mode and the ghost mode which allows players to study other moves with the usual characters known in the Tekken series such as the Armor King and Dagunov. The game’s final boss is Jinpachi, who can be eventually used as a character player once the arcade mode has been finished. Jinpachi cannot however be customized like the other characters in the game but is a good character selection on versus mode.

Playstation2 Game Review: WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007

January 1, 2007 | Posted by sharker in New Games, PlayStation 2, Reviews, Tips

Raw vs. Smackdown 2007

So the wrestling fever has caught the world by storm. With Dave “The Animal” Batista and John Cena leading the superstar rosters of the World Wrestling Entertainment roster for both the RAW and SMACKDOWN brands, the adrenaline seems to be flowing.

The same can be said for their PS2 game which many have been looking out for, ever since its introduction 2 years ago. The series which showcases most of today’s modern wrestling superstars follows the same storylines, largely depending on the chosen superstar that the player would want to use. Unlockable character legends and items are also on hand, each of which can be unlocked for every successful triumph of pay-per-view dates.

The game has a variety of game modes, the season mode and the general manager mode. For the season mode, this shows how the journey towards becoming and staying on top of the wrestling business is done through creative storylines made by the game developers. The general manager mode provides players with the authority to schedule matches and create rivalries to be able to jack up the ratings of each brand.

Not to be forgotten is the fact that with multi-controllers available, any two players can pick a superstar of their choice and battle it out through signature grapple and high maneuvers, the same moves we see in national television.
