Familiarization with the Controller Keys

Game Pad Controllers

For game consoles, the need for a gamer to be familiar with the controller buttons which corresponds to a particular command in the chosen games such as Tekken and Mortal Kombat is a need to enjoy the game and interface much easier. Such controller buttons once combined properly will produce special moves and secret effects that make the gaming experience for games a whole lot worth it.

Truth of the matter is that most games, either fighting or role playing games offer more than just graphical presentation to impress the gamers. For older people the essence of game play and hidden secrets in games is something that they would initially want to crack. A good source to find out such hidden codes and combinations would be the Internet. A lot of sites like Gamespy offers such codes and walkthroughs for gamers to practice them once they get the chance to try it out for themselves in their PlayStation, Xbox and Wii game consoles.

God of War for PSP Goes Gold

February 16, 2008 | Posted by sharker in New Games, News, PSP

PSP GOW
You probably know by now that I am a big fan of the GOW franchise. Well, here is the moment that many of us have been waiting for – the GOW for PSP is coming out! In gaming lingo, when developers announce a game has gone gold, it means that the development is complete and that it will be ready to launch pretty soon. For God of War: Chains of Olympus, the PSP version of the popular game franchise, we could expect it to hit the stores early next month – that is, at least in the United States.

So what is notable about Chains of Olympus? Here’s Wikipedia’s take on this:

At a God of War II launch event on March 13, 2007, God of War II director Cory Barlog indicated that the PSP God of War game would be a spin-off, side story, or prequel of the main God of War video game series: “It is its own story that connects to the overall story. God of War, God of War II, and then if all the stars align God of War III will be the telling of a trilogy. This PSP story will be a further fleshing out.”

The Island of Rhodes website revealed that God of War: Chains of Olympus is a prequel to the God of War series. It chronicles the various adventures of Kratos throughout the ten years he spent in servitude of the Gods (hence the game’s name which implies a bond between the series’ protagonist and the deities of Olympus) preceding the events of God of War.

The Official UK Playstation site reveals that, “Kratos will journey to lands that no mortal has ever walked upon. With the world plunged in eternal darkness and the gods rendered powerless, Kratos will face the most feared creatures of Greek mythology, and ultimately be forced to choose between his own personal redemption and saving the ancient world from certain destruction.”

No matter what, we are going to find out what is in store for GOW fans in the coming weeks.

Well, thanks to Tom Clancy, aspiring special forces units players can have the chance with this new installment where the called upon special forces known as “Ghosts” have to face the rising rebellion threat on the borders of Mexico to stave off the probable crisis that may extend towards the United States.

Ghost Recon Tom Clancy

Such a scenario offers a realistic modern day life happening, with due reference towards the ongoing war in Iraq. Offered through game engines as the PC, PSP, PS3 and Xbox 360, people can make their own destiny and fight off the rebellion forces and make sure that they stay within their territorial bounds.

Ghost Recon offers high-end technological machinery to serve as the available weapons to fight off the rebellion forces. With the setting of the year in 2014, it will not be surprising why such new developed weapons are not possible once the real world reaches this date.

The Era of Mini Computers Comes Back

February 24, 2007 | Posted by sharker in Arcade Games, Gameboy, Mobile, Nintendo, PC, PSP

In any place we go to today, we would see little tykes holding a small contraption that makes them glued and readily attentive to it. Most likely, these are games, since they are the easily identifiable attention getters for kids and the young at heart with the vast innovations that technology has to offer today.

Game and Watch

This is not the first time that such innovations have been offered to the world. In the early 80′s, games then known as Game and Watch hit the streets and had everyone crazy about these arcade games.

Today, it has been more advanced, with the influx of the PSP and GameBoy Advance portable game consoles making it easier for people to take their games anywhere.

Another difference is that today, anyone can choose the game with the use of only one contraption since game cartridges make it flexible for them to choose the game that they are hooked on the most.

Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Debuts on PS3 Series

January 5, 2007 | Posted by sharker in New Games, News, Playstation 3, PSP, Reviews, Tips

All hardcore gamers would agree what a Sony Playstation 3 would be without the popular arcade fighting game such as Tekken. Since the inaugural launch of the Playstation 3 last November, only a handful of games have been known. Sure there will always be the usual sports, role playing and famous PS games, but the inclusion of Tekken 5 will certainly gather more curious and avid followers of the Tekken series to get a copy of the game now.

Tekken 5: Jinpachi

Tekken 5 is available in Asian countries such as Hong Kong and Japan at present for roughly $16.00. However, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is not yet compatible with the US version of the PS3 console. But it would only be time before one would be compatible and available to most avid Namco arcade gamers.

The modes are still the same as the other series, single player, two player versus mode and the ghost mode which allows players to study other moves with the usual characters known in the Tekken series such as the Armor King and Dagunov. The game’s final boss is Jinpachi, who can be eventually used as a character player once the arcade mode has been finished. Jinpachi cannot however be customized like the other characters in the game but is a good character selection on versus mode.
